An option is a specialization of 12 to 18 course credits taken in Years 3 and 4 in a specific business subject area.

If you are completing the Combined Major in Business and Computer Science (BUCS) program, your program curriculum does not allow for specialization in an option.

1 Your GPA is your Year 2 winter session average calculated using all courses taken from September to April.
2 Anticipated cut-off average for students entering Year 3 in the 2021 Winter Session.
3 You must meet the eligibility requirements of Go Global for exchange.
4 You must complete COMM 204 in Year 2 or during the summer after Year 2 to be eligible for the Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management option.
5 The International Business (IB) option is completed as a double option but does not require any additional credits to graduate. You need to first register in one of the other ten options as your primary specialization and apply to be admitted to IB as your secondary option (for example, Marketing and International Business).
An option is not equivalent to a major
As a BCom student, your program major is Commerce. Your option, also sometimes referred to as your specialization, will not appear on your degree certificate, but will be noted on your transcript.
