Alumni and friends
As a current student, you are part of a dynamic UBC Sauder community that is making a difference in business and society here and around the world.
This is a great time to build connections with alumni and other business leaders that will help you succeed both professional and personally - now and in the future.
Enhancing your student experience
UBC Sauder alumni and business leaders are actively involved in your learning and career development. Through coaching, mentoring, guest speaking in classes and at events, recruiting, networking and more, they commit their time, energy, expertise and passion to help ensure you are ready for the global business world.
Dean’s Speaker Series
Distinguished alumni share their business insights and life lessons exclusively with current UBC Sauder students; held three times per year.
UBC Sauder Philanthropy Program
Students learn first-hand the practice and impact of philanthropy through exposure to local philanthropists and community leaders. Several business leaders have come to the school to talk to students about their philanthropic initiatives including Mark Cullen, Corporate Director, Mark Cullen & Company Ltd. and Kevin McCort, President and CEO, Vancouver Foundation.
BCom Last Lecture
The school celebrates the BCom graduating class with a lecture and reception held on the last day of undergraduate classes. Past alumni speakers have included Paul Hollands (BCom 1979), President and CEO of A&W Food Services, Chair of UBC Sauder’s Faculty Advisory Board, and John Montalbano (BCom 1988), CEO of RBC Global Asset Management Inc.
Supporting students and student societies
The UBC Sauder Alumni Engagement Office works hard to help facilitate meaningful connections between students and alumni.
We act as a key resource to help student clubs, conferences, case competitions and other CUS services to be able to interact with alumni — be it as speakers, mentors, networking delegates, judges or coaches. If you’re a student leader looking to connect with the UBC Sauder alumni network, please reach out to Jess Tang at firstname.lastname@example.org.
