  • Connect with us if you are experiencing circumstances that are affecting your academic performance and you need guidance or referrals to campus supports.
  • Academic concessions: the website has a lot of information for you if have you missed classes or an exam due to illness or emergency. You are also welcome to connect with an advisor to understand what to do.
  • Come talk to us if you are not sure where to start when looking for campus resources!
  • Connect with the Student Engagement team if you want to get involved at UBC Sauder or UBC and aren’t sure where to begin.

Scheduled Academic Advising Appointments

Appointments are available online via Zoom or in-person. Please use the self-serve online booking system to book an appointment. Before using Calendly, please review the Calendly Privacy Statement regarding your consent to the disclosure and storage of your personal information.

Drop-in Advising 

Drop-in advising (in-person/ HA 165 – 2053 Main Mall) is available Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Registration Advising: June 12 to July 10

In-Person Drop-In Advising

Monday to Friday, 12:00–2:00. Wait times may be long, so please come prepared with your questions to help us advise you efficiently. Please be sure to review the Registration Guide you received in June before your visit. The Registration Guide is a helpful tool that provides detailed information on which courses you should register in.

Online Registration Advising Appointments

  • Appointments are staggered by year level, starting with Year 4 students as they register first.
  • Book only one appointment and ensure it matches your year level.
  • All year levels can book for questions about academic concessions, campus supports, or university policy.

Transfer Students (Years 2 and 3)

  • Please know that we may not yet be able to fully answer questions about your transfer credit.
  • We'll help you plan for the 2025 Winter Session, and we will follow up later in the summer with any credit-specific details, as necessary.
  • Refer to the Registration Guide for answers to common transfer questions.

Prospective Students

If you are a prospective student—whether you are currently in high school, studying at a different post-secondary institution, or in a different faculty at UBC—you are welcome to connect with our Recruitment & Admissions team:

If you are on campus (either as a student or visiting for the day), you are welcome to drop by the Henry Angus Building (Room HA 137) for drop-in admissions advising every Thursday from 12–2 pm.
