International initiatives at UBC Sauder
Give back by sharing your business knowledge with students and aspiring entrepreneurs working in different parts of the world.
UBC Sauder Social Entrepreneurship
The UBC Sauder Social Entrepreneurship (SSE) program enables UBC students to travel to Kenya to mentor and train aspiring local entrepreneurs through a tailored four-week curriculum that covers the different aspects of business and entrepreneurship.
Working with students from Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya, you'll teach young people living in Mathare and Kibera how to develop business plans. Whether you're part of the trip preparation team in Vancouver or on the ground internationally, you'll learn about other cultures, how businesses are established in developing nations, and the role of education, mentorship and volunteerism in economic development.
Attend one of two upcoming information sessions hosted by SSE Program Director Jeff Kroeker:
Dates: November 21 and 23
Time: 12:30 to 1:30pm
Location: Henry Angus 291
