2018 World's Challenge Challenge UBC Finals

Watch finalists present on a global issue and solution before a panel of judges. Finalists not only get a chance to win up to $2,000 for their projects, but also could get the opportunity to present their ideas at the International World's Challenge Challenge!

One of this year's teams is from Sauder. Come out to cheer them on!

UBC Sauder Public Speaking Competition

On January 25, five finalists chosen by their COMM 395 Business Communications instructors will be competing for $2,500 in scholarship prizes. Each one will give a two to three-minute impromptu presentation on an unknown topic, as well as a six-minute prepared talk on the topic Smartphones are making us stupid, narcissistic, and destroying our sense of empathy? If true, why can’t we put our phones down?
