Academic success coaching

Academic Success Coaching is a service designed to help students improve their overall academic habits and confidence by way of one-on-one conversations with an upper-year BCom student.

For the first time in 2018-19, coaches will be offering coaching hours on a variety of themes rather than through generalized academic support.  These themes include:

Academic Strategy:

Academic Success Coaching is designed to help student improve their overall academic performance by way of one on one conversations with an upper-year BCom student.

At an Academic Strategy coaching session, coaches will be prepared to discuss a wide variety of academic goals you want to work toward or challenges you may be facing.  You will leave this session with a strategic plan to work on over the coming weeks.  If this is your first appointment and you’re unsure where to start, this is a great option.

Time Management:

Academic Success Coaching is designed to help student improve their overall academic performance by way of one on one conversations with an upper-year BCom student.

 At a Time Management coaching session, coaches will provide resources on how to balance a busy schedule, offer worksheets and templates to help you organize and prioritize your academic and non-academic life, and can provide a listening ear to talk through upcoming decisions with. 

Wellness & Self-care:

Academic Success Coaching is designed to help student improve their overall academic performance by way of one on one conversations with an upper-year BCom student.

 At a Wellness & Self-care coaching session, coaches can help you de-stress from a busy day/week by offering someone to chat with about what’s going on, can provide tips and resources for ways to make sure you’re taking care of yourself when things get challenging, and can provide referrals to other campus services as needed.

Please check 'COOL' for when we offer each theme. Please note: appointment topics are flexible, and all Coaches will be prepared to manage questions of an academic nature, based on participants’ needs!

  • Starting September 17th, 2018:  Tuesday & Thursday 12pm-5pm and Wednesday 12pm-4pm.
  • Location: The CLC in room 205.
  • Register in COOL starting September 10th, 2018.
