The Sustainability Fair is an annual celebration of student and community initiatives in sustainability. It is organized by the UBC Sustainability Ambassadors and aims to inspire students, faculty and staff to become involved with sustainability. The fair is an interdisciplinary and intersectional event that will showcase businesses, organizations and student groups aiming to build a more equitable, livable and inclusive community.

The Global Lounge is hosting UBC’s 2nd World’s Challenge Challenge. This competition invites teams of three students to come up with a unique solution to a global problem. The winning team will receive $6,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to compete in the International World’s Challenge Challenge at Western University. Students are encouraged to refer to the UN Sustainable Development Goals page when choosing a global challenge.
The UBC Farm offers 35-50 workshops per year, ranging from 1.5-3 hours to full-length short courses. Topics range from food production (gardening/farming, foraging, mushroom cultivation, aquaponics), food transformation (cooking, preserving, canning, cheese & beer making, baking), and other sustainable living skills (making fiber, craft-making, creating school gardens).
