UBC Intramural is Hiring Assistant Directors

Intramural student staff are part of a longstanding legacy of Intramural sport on campus. Collectively, the program is responsible for nine leagues and some of the largest Intramural events in the world such as Storm the Wall and Day of the Longboat. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to get involved through working with other students as well as professional staff.

Assistant Director positions are open now.  There are three different sectors to get involved in - Events, Leagues or Marketing.

UBC Sustainability Fair and Ambassador Program

The Sustainability Fair is an annual celebration of student and community initiatives in sustainability. It is organized by the UBC Sustainability Ambassadors and aims to inspire students, faculty and staff to become involved with sustainability. The fair is an interdisciplinary and intersectional event that will showcase businesses, organizations and student groups aiming to build a more equitable, livable and inclusive community.

Reading Week projects

What are you doing this Reading Week? Get involved with your community by registering for a Reading Week project. These three-day long placements happen in the Lower Mainland and give students the opportunity to work in an environment that interests them, whether that be the outdoors, an elementary school, or a non-profit.

BCom student funding

The UBC Sauder School of Business and the Commerce Undergraduate Society value the enhancement of the student experience and have committed to provide funding to support students in their personal endeavors and student-led initiatives.

Funding is available to current BCom students in good academic standing to offset expenses for a variety of experiences, including but not limited to volunteering/service learning, case competitions (not already supported by UBC Sauder Faculty), conferences, personal/professional development, and student-led initiatives.

Spark Chats: How to Get Involved

It’s that time of the year, and you may be wondering about getting involved with a club, program, or other leadership position for next year. But with so many opportunities how do you choose? It can be a bit overwhelming!

Come to Spark Chats to hear from upper year student leaders on their experiences of how they got involved and found where they belong. The BCC (Business Career Centre) will be there too to talk about how they can help you with your resumes, cover letters, interview preparation and more.
