Spark Chats: Finding Balance

New to Sauder? You're invited to the first Spark Chats of the year!

The evening will start with 3 TED-talk style presentations from upper year students who understand the challenge of balancing the many aspects of university life and will share how they have learned to keep on top of academics, extra curriculars, health, social life, and more. Then join orientation leaders for a fun long table community dinner in CPA Hall where you can eat good food with friends, meet new people, play games and spark meaningful conversations about life at university.

UBC Sauder Philanthropy Program presents "Getting Involved in the Non-Profit Sector: Options for Careers and Volunteering"

The non-profit sector presents an attractive option for students looking to work or volunteer with organizations that are mission-driven and where they can see their contribution having a positive impact on society. There are opportunities in traditional non-profits addressing crucial issues like health, education and social services, but also emerging areas such as impact investing and social enterprise. The speaker series, hosted by the UBC Sauder Philanthropy Program, will give students a comprehensive look at how they can get involved in this innovative industry.

The Dhillon Centre for Business Ethics at UBC Sauder, in conjunction with the Center for Business Law and the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies at UBC’s Peter A Allard School of Law, present #MeToo in the Boardroom on October 23, 2018.

UBC Sauder Philanthropy Program presents The Road to Philanthropy

The UBC Sauder Philanthropy Program is pleased to host a talk on “The Roadmap to Philanthropy” by Abdul Ladha. Ladha is a prominent philanthropist and the Founder of Spark Global Philanthropic Foundation. He will be co-teaching a new 300-level 3-credit UBC Sauder course, COMM 386V Philanthropy in Review, with James Tansey, in January 2019.
