These three-day long placements happen in the Lower Mainland and give students the opportunity to work in an environment that interests them, whether that be the outdoors, an elementary school, or a non-profit.

BCom student funding

The UBC Sauder School of Business and the Commerce Undergraduate Society value the enhancement of the student experience and have committed to provide funding to support students in their personal endeavors and student-led initiatives.

Funding is available to current BCom students in good academic standing to offset expenses for a variety of experiences, including but not limited to volunteering/service learning, case competitions (not already supported by UBC Sauder Faculty), conferences, personal/professional development, and student-led initiatives.

Spark Chats: How to Get Involved

Come to Spark Chats to hear from upper year student leaders on their experiences of how they got involved and found where they belong. The BCC (Business Career Centre) will be there too to talk about how they can help you with your resumes, cover letters, interview preparation and more.

Help finalize UBC's strategic plan

UBC is in the final stages of a comprehensive strategic planning process. The new plan will serve as a road map, helping us focus even more intently on our core activities of learning and research.

Between November 23 and December 8, you are invited to join a dialogue to help validate the emerging plan, as well as explore ideas of how to bring the plan to life. Attend an open house and/or complete an online survey to help build a plan that will influence our university for years to come.

Student Leadership Conference: Create Momentum

As one of the largest student-run conferences in Canada, the Student Leadership Conference (SLC) is an opportunity to explore your abilities, a hub for amazing individuals in the community, and a platform that inspires action. The SLC features well-known keynote speakers, workshops, featured presenters, and learning labs which all revolve around this year’s theme, Create Momentum.

You're invited to attend UBC's annual Remembrance Day Ceremony to recognize the achievements of our Veterans and honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The Ceremony will include short readings, remarks from special guests and musical performances by the UBC Opera Ensemble.
